Power generation is a specialty at MEC, backed by 20 years of experience. We install, modify and repair generators across Perth and WA, build the switchboards and transfer switches that connect them, and keep rental fleets working from our Welshpool workshop to site.

20 years in power generation
Generators have been part of our work for two decades, from standby units for offices and facilities to large sets running remote sites. We know the equipment, the controls and what it takes to keep it online.
Backup power systems
When the grid drops, your site shouldn't. We design and install backup power with automatic transfer switches for hands-free changeover, or manual transfer switches and generator inlets where a simpler setup suits.

Keeping rental fleets running
We work with generator rental companies to keep their fleets in service. Between hires we fault-find and repair electrical and control issues, so units go back out working and compliant.
When a project needs something the standard unit doesn't have, we carry out the modifications in our workshop so the generator arrives ready to install.
Workshop to site
Modifications and testing are done in our Welshpool workshop. Our team then installs on site: cabling, connection, transfer switches and commissioning, with MEC responsible from start to finish.
Fast turnaround
Rental fleets earn money on hire, not in the yard. We prioritise repairs and modifications so units get back out quickly.
